About Kuata Island
Your Fiji day cruise destination Kuata Island is the closest Yasawa Island to Port Denarau, Nadi.
The island was once home to a small local population, clans from the nearby island of Waya Lailai. Legend has it an inter-island dispute over the theft of octopuses resulted in the population of Kuata Island packing up and migrating to the Coral Coast leaving the island uninhabited.
Kuata Island Today
Kuata Island is surrounded by a Marine Sanctuary established in partnership with indigenous Fijian landowners. This relationship is the foundation of Kuata Island Day Cruises' ongoing conservation programme. The result is lush coral gardens perfect for snorkelling and accessible from the beach.
Our new Kuata Island Day Cruises day cruise guest area features 5 swimming pools, a restaurant, bar and dive shop.
